Demonstration in Front of NRA
The Green Party of Virginia present at the Rally
The Northern Virginia Greens and the Virginia Green Party attended and supported a rally against gun violence outside of the NRA Headquarters in Fairfax, VA on October 14, 2013. Northern Virginia Greens local chair Joe Galdo, member Bill Bengstrom, Virginia Green Party co-chair John Reeder, and Arlington Green members attended the event.
These anti-gun rallies are held monthly since January on the anniversary day of the mass killing in Newtown, Connecticut. One of the Green Party’s Ten Values is Nonviolence, and clearly gun violence violates our Party’s emphasis that differences must be resolved non-violently.
